INTRODUCTION
In this project, we got the Caledonian Road. This is one of the dynamic areas in Islington, it has many different function buildings, and a lot of parks in here with different sizes, I collected some information about the park in the Caledonian Road. I choose the Caledonian park as my main site because I have stayed in the Caledonian park area for a school year as an architecture student, Caledonian park has been a route that I take as a daily commute to school and places where I need to go. I am fairly familiar with the area as it has been a part of my academic year. Since this Studio group is about the Cally area I hope to explore more possibilities in this area.
I found an iron cage in Caledonia park, it just stands next to the community orchard, and has a few bird’s food cages, a number of pigeons rest on the tree branches, and some looking for food on the ground. Caledonian Park friends group responsible for care the wildlife in the park, and of course the birds. So, I want to create a particular community for these birds who live in Caledonia road. The special house has a collection system on the base, so that friend groups can use the excrement as fertilizer on the wildlife gardens and the community orchard. Building damage by the acidic excrement case will substantially decline.
I hope that my project can ensure an increase in human activity linked with nature and wildlife. My aim is to allow people to become more familiar with the beauty with nature, to also prevent a distant relationship with Pigeons in the Caledonian area. Knowing that Caledonian park is an culturally enriched area in London, I hope the preconception of wildlife can be a much uplifting experience for users that utilize the space as somewhere that can be relaxing.
